The Mountain Bluebird was seen again yesterday (20th) near the Church just across from Home Run Oil. Seen in the trees there eating, was not hard to find, and stayed around for a while.
According to Dave Erickson, a Mountain Bluebird was seen about 5 years ago in town near the Bidarka Inn, although not officially verified. They are "rare" in Alaska and "accidental" in Kachemak Bay in winter.
