An Anna's Hummingbird was seen at a feeder on the 7th, east of town on Portlock St.
On the 7th at the end of the Spit the following birds were seen: Harlequin Ducks, Long-tailed Ducks, Common Murre, Red-necked Grebe, Pelagic Cormorant, Glaucous-winged Gull, Mew Gull, Northwestern Crow, Bald Eagle, Common Loon, Rock Pigeon, and Black Scoter. Elsewhere on the spit, Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches, Red-breasted Merganzers (Deep Water Harbour), and a huge group of Rock Sandpipers (Mud Bay).
On the 2nd, Great Horned Owl was heard calling out by Fritz Creek and a fair number of Spruce Grouse around.
